Areas of Work: Adult Treatment & Assessment
Patricia is a student clinician in the final stages of completing her doctoral degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto. She has trained in adult treatment and assessment in both private practice and outpatient/residential treatment settings including CBT Associates (CBTA), the Cognitive and Interpersonal Therapy Centre (CITC), and the Intensive OCD Services program at the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre (Sunnybrook). Patricia has worked with adults to treat a wide range of clinical issues including mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and stress-related problems. Her treatment primarily integrates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and mindfulness-based interventions. She aims to develop a collaborative treatment plan that is tailored to each client’s unique needs, history, strengths, and goals. She hopes to create a compassionate environment and help clients to not only feel better but to live their lives in fulfilling and personally meaningful ways.
Patricia is an avid baker and cook, and especially enjoys sharing food with family and friends. In her free time she also loves to be outdoors, binge-watch TV shows, and spend time with her husband and their cat Winston.
