Karen Ferguson, C. Psych. Associate

    Karen Ferguson is a registered Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She practices in the area of School Psychology with children and adolescents. Karen completed her Master of Arts degree in School and Child Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto (O.I.S.E.) and was registered with the College of Psychologists in 2012.

    Karen provided psychological services in a local school board for sixteen years. She is well versed in providing consultations and comprehensive psychological assessments and psychoeducational assessments that address a range of learning and social emotional needs such as Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Karen also had previous training and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism from 1995 to 2002, which has been very helpful in her assessment and consultative work. She works diligently to help make the assessment experience enjoyable for children, teens, and their families. She particularly enjoys providing recommendations that help promote independence, resiliency, and positive social interactions.

    Karen joined Insight Psychology on Norfolk in May 2019. She was born and raised in Guelph and is proud to be raising her family in this beautiful city. Activities that spark joy for her include camping, playing board games, travelling, spending time with her family, and walking her dog.
