Areas of Work: Child & Child & Adolescent Assessment and Treatment, Adult Assessment and Treatment, Parent Consultations
Jackson is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Waterloo. He has experience supporting clients with challenges such as anxiety and mood difficulties, emotional regulation, self-esteem and identity, learning and attention difficulties, relational dynamics, and the effects of trauma and stressful life events. He also works with parents and caregivers to support their child’s emotional and behavioural health and improve family dynamics.
Jackson uses evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, relational, and family-systems therapies. He tailors treatment to each person’s needs and goals, working collaboratively in a supportive, client-centered way. His goal is to create a safe space where people feel understood and empowered to grow.
Alongside his clinical work, Jackson is actively involved in research on developmental trauma, family-based interventions, and how individuals and families adapt to adversity over time.
Outside of work, Jackson enjoys being outdoors, staying active, playing and listening to music, reading fantasy novels, and being with his wife, two young children, and husky.
His work at Insight is supervised by Dr. Colleen Beaudoin.
